Clear cell adenocarcinoma of the male urethra: a case report

Abstract Background Primary urethral cancer in males is rare. Clear cell adenocarcinoma more We report a case an African male suspected to have stricture. Case presentation A 66-year-old man presented with preceding intermittent haematuria and acute urinary retention. Failed attempts at catheterisation necessitating suprapubic catheter insertion raised the suspicion of Multiple irregular filling defects were seen on retrograde urethrogram. Urethroscopy revealed obstructing masses. Histology reported clear adenocarcinoma. Conclusion should be entertained as differential diagnosis stricture patient haematuria, difficult ambiguous urethrogram findings. Cystoscopy biopsy are essential investigative work-up make distinction.
